Workshop: Hep-C Re-infection prevention programme @the Bloomsbury Patient Network
Wednesday 15th February, 2017
6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Mortimer Market Center – Duncan Catterall Seminar Room (Lower Ground Floor)
Hep-C medication is some of the most expensive.
We now have over 100 people on Hep-C medication, with a further 1600 on the waiting list at Mortimer Market. While only one course of treatment is available the Bloomsbury Network decided that it was necessary to educate our patients on how NOT to get re-infected.
The evening is designed for people about to start medication, on medication or during follow-up.
The medication is extremely successful but does not give you immunity – you can get infected again! However…. NHS England will not provide a second course of treatment.
- Learn what you can do to protect yourself from re-infection
- Learn what support is out there for you.
Speakers will include Dr Laura Waters, Dr Indrajit Ghosh, Dr Herman Van Der Wal
Held at the Duncan Catterall Seminar Room (Lower Ground Floor), Mortimer Market Center, Mortimer Market, London, WC1E 6JB. Mortimer Market, just off Tottenham Court Road, the passage to clinic is between 169 (Futon Shop) & 170 Tottenham Court Road. Nearest Tube: Warren Street/Goodge Street.
