GayTalk is the once a month afternoon at Positively UK . This months GayTalk will be held in partnership with the Bloomsbury Patient Network.

Author and former Editor of Attitude Matthew Todd will be dropping in to talk about and read extracts from his book Straight Jacket: How to be gay and happy, in advance of the paperback coming out on March 8th.

He’ll be talking about his own journey dealing with the legacy of society’s gay shame and how he realised that, despite being out and proud, society’s shame was still affecting his life negatively. He’ll also talk about why he thinks we need to face some of the damage that’s been done to us and do something about it.

There is no need to book for this event.

As usual there’ll be an opportunity before lunch to share and get support around any HIV concerns you have with others in the group, a buffet lunch will be provided, and there’ll be a trip to the pub after. This month, Franco has kindly offered to share his HIV story.

If this is your first time please arrive at 11.30am to be registered.

If you miss this event, you can also listen to Matthew Todd talk to Will Young about his book on his Homosapiens podcast.
