Details

On 23rd November 2016 the UK’s AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display at St Paul’s Cathedral. This is the first time in over twenty years that the whole  quilt has been on display, they will be laying quilt panels across the floor of St Paul’s Cathedral underneath the dome, providing a stunning photograph, taken from the whispering gallery. Visitors to St Paul’s Cathedral (tickets £16 in advance/£18 on door) will be able to view the quilts, and candles will be available to be lit by visitors to remember those we lost through HIV and AIDS.

Over the weekend of Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December 2016, twelve venues around London (churches, libraries, HIV charities including the former THT Lighthouse – where many of the panels were created, now location for the Museum of Brands  – all open to the public and accessible free of charge) will host individual quilt panels.  A brochure with a map and list of the venues hosting the quilt panels will be available, enabling people to visit a panel close to them, or follow their own Quilt Trail around London to see all of the panels.
